RIGOL DHO802 software
Remote control and data logging for the RIGOL DHO802 oscilloscope, on Windows, Linux and macOS - with the same panel BenchMesh uses for every oscilloscope.
Awaiting confirmation
Status
Very likely. Support for the RIGOL DHO802 was written from RIGOL’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real DHO802 yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.

Connections
- USB-TMC
- USB Test & Measurement Class (USB id 1ab1:044d). No vendor driver needed on Linux; on Windows BenchMesh installs Microsoft’s WinUSB driver with one click.
- LAN (SCPI socket)
- TCP port 5555. Enter the instrument’s IP address.
Notes
- To confirm on first contactLAN socket port 5555 is not stated in the DHO800/900 guide (community: pydho800; Rigol's usual port).
- Known issueScreenshot (:DISPlay:DATA? PNG) over the Linux kernel USBTMC driver crashed a DHO804; screenshots are disabled.

Have one on your bench?
Connect it, press Detect, try the controls - then tell us how it went. Every confirmation moves a model from “Awaiting” to “Community-confirmed” for everyone.
Questions
- Does BenchMesh work with the RIGOL DHO802?
- Very likely. Support for the RIGOL DHO802 was written from RIGOL’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real DHO802 yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.
- How do I connect the DHO802 to my PC?
- Over USB-TMC or LAN (SCPI socket). USB Test & Measurement Class (USB id 1ab1:044d). No vendor driver needed on Linux; on Windows BenchMesh installs Microsoft’s WinUSB driver with one click. Then press Detect in BenchMesh: it identifies the oscilloscope by its reply and adds it to the bench.
- What can I control on the DHO802?
- Oscilloscope: set acquire type, bwlimit, coupling, display, invert, offset, probe, run; read acq type, bwlimit, coupling, display, freq, invert, offset, probe.
- Can I log DHO802 measurements to CSV?
- Yes. Right-click any reading to add it to a recording; every instrument on the bench is sampled on one shared timeline and exported as one CSV.
- Is BenchMesh free?
- Yes. BenchMesh is free and open source, for Windows, Linux and macOS, and works offline.
