Keysight EDUX1002A software
Remote control and data logging for the Keysight EDUX1002A oscilloscope, on Windows, Linux and macOS - with the same panel BenchMesh uses for every oscilloscope.
Status
Very likely. Support for the Keysight EDUX1002A was written from Keysight’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real EDUX1002A yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.
Note: no LAN: USB only (1000 X guide p29)

Connections
- USB-TMC
- USB Test & Measurement Class (USB id 2a8d). No vendor driver needed on Linux; on Windows BenchMesh installs Microsoft’s WinUSB driver with one click.
- LAN (SCPI socket)
- TCP port 5025. Enter the instrument’s IP address.
Notes
- Interface on some models only1000 X: EDUX1002A / DSOX1102A have no LAN. 2000 X: LAN only with the LAN/VGA module. 1200 X: unconfirmed. 3000T: community only.
- To confirm on first contactUSB vendor 2a8d only; Agilent-era units use 0957; product ids differ per model.
- Known issueSingle-shot never reads back (the sweep query returns AUTO/NORM only), so the UI confirmation of Single times out.

Connect it, press Detect, try the controls - then tell us how it went. Every confirmation moves a model from “Awaiting” to “Community-confirmed” for everyone.
Questions
- Does BenchMesh work with the Keysight EDUX1002A?
- Very likely. Support for the Keysight EDUX1002A was written from Keysight’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real EDUX1002A yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.
- How do I connect the EDUX1002A to my PC?
- Over USB-TMC or LAN (SCPI socket). USB Test & Measurement Class (USB id 2a8d). No vendor driver needed on Linux; on Windows BenchMesh installs Microsoft’s WinUSB driver with one click. Then press Detect in BenchMesh: it identifies the oscilloscope by its reply and adds it to the bench.
- What can I control on the EDUX1002A?
- Oscilloscope: set acquire type, bwlimit, coupling, display, invert, offset, probe, run; read acq type, bwlimit, coupling, display, freq, invert, offset, probe.
- Can I log EDUX1002A measurements to CSV?
- Yes. Right-click any reading to add it to a recording; every instrument on the bench is sampled on one shared timeline and exported as one CSV.
- Is BenchMesh free?
- Yes. BenchMesh is free and open source, for Windows, Linux and macOS, and works offline.
