OWON XDM3041 software
Remote control and data logging for the OWON XDM3041 multimeter, on Windows, Linux and macOS - with the same panel BenchMesh uses for every multimeter.
Awaiting confirmation
Status
Very likely. Support for the OWON XDM3041 was written from OWON’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real XDM3041 yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.

- USB-TMC
- USB Test & Measurement Class (USB id 5345:1234). No vendor driver needed on Linux; on Windows BenchMesh installs Microsoft’s WinUSB driver with one click.
- LAN (SCPI socket)
- TCP port 3000. Enter the instrument’s IP address.
Notes
- To confirm on first contactUSB-TMC 5345:1234 from a community tool; LAN factory port 3000 (user manual p.42).
- Known issueCommunity: do not use above 57600 baud on the serial link; slow rate letter is S (not L).

Questions
- Does BenchMesh work with the OWON XDM3041?
- Very likely. Support for the OWON XDM3041 was written from OWON’s programming manual and follows the same engine as the bench-tested instruments, but nobody has confirmed it on a real XDM3041 yet. If you own one, connecting it once and reporting the result moves it to Community-confirmed.
- How do I connect the XDM3041 to my PC?
- Over USB-serial / RS-232 or USB-TMC or LAN (SCPI socket). 115200 baud, 8N1. Plug in the USB cable (or a USB-RS-232 adapter); BenchMesh finds the port. Then press Detect in BenchMesh: it identifies the multimeter by its reply and adds it to the bench.
- What can I control on the XDM3041?
- Multimeter: set mode, range, rate, temp scale, temp sensor; read meas, mode, overload, range.
- Can I log XDM3041 measurements to CSV?
- Yes. Right-click any reading to add it to a recording; every instrument on the bench is sampled on one shared timeline and exported as one CSV.
- Is BenchMesh free?
- Yes. BenchMesh is free and open source, for Windows, Linux and macOS, and works offline.
